Luckily, there’s magic in the air as panto characters – including a blue-rinsed hairy godmother – join Holly, 37, in this year’s Christmas TV ad for Marks & Spencer, to a track by Take That. Rival John Lewis recruited Elton John, 71, for the traditional battle for best festive ad. But M&S has another secret weapon in its panto-themed ad – Helen Mirren, 73. You wait ages for a dame... then two turn up!
