Cambridge Utd 0 MK Dons 1

-

PAUL TISDALE praised his defence after MK Dons earned a third successive league win.

Chuks Aneke scored the only goal to see off struggling Cambridge.

But the visiting manager knew his side were in a game.

“When there’s one goal in it anything can happen,” said Tisdale.

“It was a really tough second half, but I’m delighted with the way we played. The defence was resolute.” United manager Joe Dunne said: “Another day goes by when we should have got something from the game.

“I felt the manner of the goal was just awful. Unfortunately it’s cost us.

“I thought second half was a really good performance and, unfortunately, we’ve come away with nothing.

“We have a certain way of defending at that moment and we left it one on one at the back.

“So it’s a soft goal from our point of view.”
