- BY HALINA WATTS Showbiz Editor

Halina with Paul and Jo by our windows. I’ve been obsessed with aliens ever since. We can’t be the only beings in this universe.” All of Which makes her more ashamed of the way we treat our planet. Jo recently starred in Channel 4 show Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls and was shocked by the amount of plastic a remote Pacific island’s shores.

“We trudged through the jungle and there it all was on the beach – bottles, Lego, nets, flip-flops, children’s toys.

“It’s horrible. I don’t know how we have got like this,” she says.

“But we are at an exciting point now. It feels like there is revolution and Jo and artist brother Paul with his ‘Water lilies with Volvic Bottle’ Monet

Ronnie with fellow Stones everyone is aware about plastic, food and what we put in our systems.”

She says she’s so glad her ex Ronnie – now remarried with two children to theatre producer Sally Humphreys – managed to give up cigarettes.

The guitarist had lung cancer, but was given the all-clear in August last year. “He has done well,” says Jo. “And he has done something I never thought he would, and that is stop smoking. I’m very proud of him.”

Ex-wild child Jo reckons her own health now is down to an organic diet.

She says: “I just had a medical and got 10 out of 10. I had zero heart calcium. It just goes to show you what it can do.

“Even on tour with the Stones, I would always insist on one organic dish. Charlie Watts is very organic. Mick Jagger is very conscious about what he eats.

“But he wasn’t organic until I was. Keith Richards once said to me, ‘The trouble with you is you’re addicted to organic food.’ I thought coming from you, that’s great.”
