Naked shark tank diver is held by cops

A MAN who stunned families by stripping off and diving into an aquarium tank to swim with sharks has been arrested.

Police have identified the swimmer as David Weaver, 37, who was wanted for the shark stunt and an alleged assault earlier that day, say police in Toronto, Canada.

The man approached the open shark tank at Ripley’s Aquarium in the city, took off all his clothes then jumped in while shocked visitors to the family attraction watched.

The man then spent several minutes swimming and diving in the water before fleeing the scene.

The earlier assault victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
