Top doc alert on baby box

DOUBTS have been raised over the safety of baby boxes.

The cardboard containers are promoted as a safe alternative to standard cots and Moses baskets, and are offered to new mums by some NHS Trusts.

But Professor Peter Blair, of Bristol uni, told the British Medical Journal they should only be used as a temporary bed if nothing else is available.
