Zorro can torment City again

- BY NEIL MOXLEY

SHAKHTAR DONETSK have warned Manchester City they will prove last season’s Champions League triumph was no fluke.

The Ukranians inflicted a shock defeat on Pep Guardiola & Co last December, and coach Paulo Fonseca celebrated the 2-1 victory by donning a Zorro outfit for the postmatch conference.

Pressure will be on the Premier League pacesetters after their shock defeat by Lyon.

And there will be no show of respect in the Ukraine when the current Premier League champions return.

Striker Olarenwaju Kayode said: “We feel qualified to win every game. It’s important to feel able to win but that does not mean we will prepare any less rigorously for any match.”

Kayode, who was on City’s books before being loaned to Girona and then transferred to Donetsk, was sent off during a 1-0 victory against Desna on Friday night.

The Nigeria striker was dismissed following a stamp on defender Maksym Imerekov.

Fortunately for him, domestic suspensions do not carry over into the Champions League.
