Bella: So glad I didn’t hide Sex Factor
X FACTOR favourite Bella Penfold has spoken for the first time about her love life – and said she is glad she ignored advice to hide her sexuality.
Some pals feared being open about girlfriend Tasha Johnstone could have cost Bella votes.
The girls are both 19. Bella decided to be honest with the show’s judges and says: “I’m just being me, not forcing anyone to have my opinions. I just wanted to be brave and fearless to help those who are scared. Me and Tasha are happy.”
Bella, from Brentwood, Essex, admits revealing her sexuality to her mum two years ago was tricky.
But she adds: “Mum is great now, but she struggled at first.”
