are giv­ing away no spoil­ers. Striking Out star In­grid, be­low, ad­mit­ted it was im­por­tant to show the real ef­fects of in­cur­able MND. She said: “You have to show how hard it is, how tragic it is, and what can hap­pen to your re­la­tion­ships. “It’s so hard to main­tain a re­la­tion­ship with your hus­band.” In­grid told how she had no prob­lem film­ing the naked bath­room scene as she knows Adrian and “the crew were lovely”. The pro­duc­tion also took great care to show the dis­ease in a sen­si­tive way by meet­ing with mem­bers of the Ir­ish MND As­so­ci­a­tion. She added: “It is very se­ri­ous and there are peo­ple watch­ing who may have it or have it in their fam­ily.” Blood is on Virgin Me­dia One to­mor­row at 9pm.

Things will get heated on the sec­ond in­stall­ment of the RTE drama, with Wayne, played by Brian Gleeson, in­sist­ing his deal­ings with Esme were “pro­fes­sional”.

Al­most 450,000 peo­ple watched last week’s opener.

Taken Down is on RTE One tonight at 9.30pm.
