Actress Ingrid on ‘reality of tragic illness’ in thriller finale

are giving away no spoilers. Striking Out star Ingrid, below, admitted it was important to show the real effects of incurable MND. She said: “You have to show how hard it is, how tragic it is, and what can happen to your relationsh­ips. “It’s so hard to maintain a relationsh­ip with your husband.” Ingrid told how she had no problem filming the naked bathroom scene as she knows Adrian and “the crew were lovely”. The production also took great care to show the disease in a sensitive way by meeting with members of the Irish MND Associatio­n. She added: “It is very serious and there are people watching who may have it or have it in their family.” Blood is on Virgin Media One tomorrow at 9pm.

In scenes seen by the Irish Sunday Mirror, the cop, played by Lynn Rafferty, asks the fast-talker if he was in a sexual relationsh­ip with the Nigerian girl.

Things will get heated on the second installmen­t of the RTE drama, with Wayne, played by Brian Gleeson, insisting his dealings with Esme were “profession­al”.

Almost 450,000 people watched last week’s opener.

Taken Down is on RTE One tonight at 9.30pm.
