Mogul Cow­ell sets record straight over Lit­tle Mix split

Si­mon Cow­ell SI­MON Cow­ell dis­missed ru­mours Lit­tle Mix left his la­bel after an­nounc­ing it was him who sev­ered the part­ner­ship with their man­age­ment firm.

A spokesman for the mu­sic mogul said Cow­ell has cut ties with Mod­est Man­age­ment and will no longer work with any artists man­aged by the com­pany.

The state­ment came after fans sparked ru­mours after the bit­ter split, at­tribut­ing it to Cow­ell’s mu­sic la­bel Syco’s poor treat­ment of the band.

How­ever, a state­ment from Cow­ell’s spokesman dis­missed this, say­ing: “Syco Mu­sic will no longer work with Mod­est Man­age­ment and there­fore any artists signed to that man­age­ment com­pany.

“We do, of course, wish all artists af­fected by this de­ci­sion ev­ery fu­ture suc­cess.

“LM5, the forth­com­ing Lit­tle Mix al­bum A&R’D and re­leased on Syco Mu­sic, is to be ser­viced by RCA at the re­quest of Syco and Si­mon Cow­ell.”
