007 punters putting few quid on Hidd

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

BOOKIES have slashed the odds on Tom Hiddleston being the next James Bond after a flurry of bets.

Night Manager star Tom, 37, is now 9/4 second favourite behind Bodyguard actor Richard Madden, 32, at 6/4.

The bets have come off the back of Hiddleston confirming he will be reprising his role as Loki, the god of mischief, in a new Marvel TV series.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Hiddleston’s Marvel role might be a million miles from 007 but it’s another reminder of his acting skills. He’s a leading candidate to follow in Daniel Craig’s footsteps.”

Idris Elba is 6/1, ahead of 12/1 shots Tom Hardy, James Norton and Cillian Murphy, with Poldark star Aidan Turner at 16/1.
