PAT LOAN FLOPPING

MANCHESTER CITY playmaker Patrick Roberts is in line for a move in January as his loan deal to Spanish side Girona has backfired.

Roberts (right) was sent to the La Liga club to further his education. But ahead of yesterday’s matches the 21-year-old had started just once for the sister club of the reigning Premier League champions.

PSV Eindhoven are now in the running to secure Roberts’ services on loan.
