Reds boss derby dig at Aguero

-

Premier League goal for the Blues. But Mourinho said: “There are little things in Aguero’s game that I am not a big fan of. I admire him because of his fantastic qualities.

“His numbers speak for themselves in terms of goals he scores.”

Asked what he didn’t like about Aguero, the United boss replied: “I keep that for me.”

And Mourinho has not forgiven him for the role he played in Marouane Fellaini’s sending-off in the Etihad derby two seasons ago.

Mourinho felt that the City striker goaded Fellaini into 19 seconds of madness that saw the Belgian sent off during the second half of the goalless draw in April 2017.

Fellaini, booked for a foul on Aguero, then saw red for sending him sprawling with a headbutt (above) when they clashed again.

Mourinho claimed the forward had conned referee Martin Atkinson.

After the game, he said: “If Sergio doesn’t go to the floor, it’s not a red card.

“I saw Aguero in the tunnel. No broken nose, no broken head. He is as nice as he always is.

“So I’m not so sure. Aguero is an experienced, smart Argentinian player.”
