Sexual crimes study planned

-

PLANS for a sexual crimes study will be laid out to cabinet later this month, said the Justice Minister.

Charlie Flanagan added the probe focusing on sexual violence and abuse will cost around €1 million and may last six months.

It comes after a trial where a woman’s underwear was examined and the defendant accused of rape was found not guilty.

The Minister said: “Clothes don’t rape women, rapists rape women.”
