I’M LOSING MOOY STAR

- BY SIMON MULLOCK

HUDDERSFIELD boss David Wagner has admitted that his team’s form over the next six weeks will determine whether he goes into the transfer market to replace Asian Cup-bound Aaron Mooy.

The Australian midfielder (left) will be missing for up to a month when the Socceroos travel to the United Arab Emirates as defending champions in January.

And that will be a huge blow for the Terriers as they face up to another battle to avoid relegation.

Wagner said: “Aaron will be missing for a month and it is a situation we must prepare for and deal with. Teams have lost players in the past to the African Cup of Nations – now it’s the Asian Cup.

“We will be one of the teams that loses one of our stand-out players. It’s too early to say or decide what we will do when Aaron goes.

“But the next six weeks are crucial for how we deal with it.”
