President ‘to bring change’

MEXICO’S new president promised to bring radical change to his violenceplagued nation yesterday.

Left-wing politician Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, 65, said he will eradicate corruption and end drugs wars.

He added: “We’re not planning to create a dictatorship, neither open nor disguised.

“The changes will be profound, but these will be carried out with strict respect for the established legal framework.”
