Star’s bus boosted his dying friend’s life

- BY HALINA WATTS Showbiz Editor

A WIDOW today reveals how family friend Noel helped lengthen her dying husband Geoff’s life by taking him around Europe in the double decker bus he told campmates about last week. Sharon Dunford said the star leapt into action after Geoff, then 62, was given six months with cancer in 2013 – but he lived four more years. First Noel arranged for Geoff to see a Harley Street specialist then he and wife Liz put the former Bristol Rovers chairman on a lifestyle plan including meditation, diet changes and the use of an “energising” electro mat. “Maybe it was that that kept him well, the positivity of knowing he felt better,” says Sharon. Noel then bought his London bus and they all headed off across France. “We had her renovated and put furniture in. Upstairs was a bar and a cinema room. It was like a gentleman’s club. Noel and Geoff had an incredible bond.”
