Chip off old rock for fund

TWO chip shop owners have raised €30,000 for charity after cooking fish suppers at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Alan Hanna, from Co Down, and Tyrone man Malachy Mallon travelled to Tanzania to climb the 20,000ft volcano.

Malachy said: “We wanted to raise money for the Fishermen’s Mission and we needed a big challenge to gain sponsorship.”
