Rak Su eyeing return to see ‘frightening’ Irish crowds
REIGNING X Factor champions Rak Su revealed they are dying to get back to Ireland to play for the “most frightening” crowd they’ve seen.
The band, made up of Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland, Mustafa Rahimtulla and Myles Stephenson, hope to return as soon as next year.
Speaking exclusively to Irish Sunday Mirror ahead of tonight’s X Factor final, Myles said: “When we did the X Factor tour, we did Belfast and the 3 Arena and the response we got from the Irish was frightening, honestly.
“It was the loudest we had experienced in an arena tour, honestly it was frightening.
AMAZING
“It was so loud and it was amazing so it would only be right to come back to Ireland and party with you again because we went out when we were there last time and it was great so definitely we will be back over in Ireland soon, 100%.”
Despite making history as the first boyband to win the singing contest last year, the lads admitted there is a lot of hard work and pressure that comes with the title, including living up to the success of acts which came before them.
Myles added: “It is definitely motivational, at the end of the day we are who we are and we performed our own songs from day one and we remained true to ourselves.
“Hopefully that works worldwide and hopefully people can see us for who we are.
“But at the end of the day, the success of Little Mix and the One Direction boys is motivational.”
And offering advice to Galway native Brendan Murray who was eliminated in the semi-finals last Saturday night, Myles said: “Brendan is an unbelievable singer.
“My advice to him would be to continue what he is doing.”
