Bradley took knocks and a star was born

Bradley AC­TOR Bradley Cooper al­most quit Hol­ly­wood three times af­ter hav­ing doors slammed in his face.

Cooper, tipped for Os­car glory for A Star Is Born, said one director even told him “he was not f***able enough” for a movie.

Cooper, 43, said: “It is hard. I find this busi­ness to be hard at times. I’ve wanted to quit three times.

“It was more like, ‘I’m not meant for this busi­ness’.” But he per­se­vered .

He said: “Some­thing in­side me said, ‘I have no other choice’.”

Cooper, lead man and the director in A Star is Born, was speak­ing as he col­lected the Amer­i­can Cine­math­eque Award.

He said: “I’m the ben­e­fi­ciary of a lot of people who were kind and gave me a chance over the years.” Jamie Dor­nan
