Brave priest is an inspiration

POPULAR priest Fr Tony Coote captured the hearts of the nation with his positive outlook after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.

From his first TV appearance on RTE in April where he talked openly about his diagnosis, he has inspired us all with his can-do attitude.

Now back from a marathon 550km trek the length of Ireland to raise funds and awareness Fr Tony admits the challenge has taken its toll – yet he still refuses to give in to the condition.

“Grab life with both hands,” is his message as he urges us all to treasure our time here.
