Garda probe on body find

GARDAI have launched an inquiry after the discovery of a man’s body.

The remains of the deceased, thought to be in his 50s, were found near a house in Dunmanway, Co Cork, at around noon.

The scene at Derreens was closed off for a technical examination.

Assistant State Pathologist Dr Marget Bolster is to carry out a postmortem at Cork University Hospital.

A Garda source said it is not thought foul play is suspected.
