Valencia’s got Mour problems
JOSE MOURINHO heads to Valencia this week with the Spanish side in even more turmoil than Manchester United.
Valencia – considered Spain’s ‘fourth team’ behind Barcelona and the two Madrid sides – had won just three of their 14 La Liga games before yesterday’s clash with Seville and are languishing in the bottom half of the Spanish league.
Their poor start, mirrored by Mourinho’s United in the Premier League, has left coach Marcelino Garcia Toral under pressure – and he has been clashing with his leading players too.
Tension bubbled over between Toral and star striker Goncalo Guedes – yet to score since he signed from Paris Saintgermain in the summer – in the recent 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid.
