Flight U-turn drama over ill passenger
A RYANAIR aircraft travelling to Lanzarote was forced to return to Dublin yesterday after a passenger took ill mid-flight.
The plane did a U-turn off the southwest coast of England according to aviation twitter account @Buzz6868.
It said: “Declaring a general emergency squawking 7700 and return to Dublin Ryanair RYR51AA Dublin to Lanzarote B738 EI-EMB.”
The airline confirmed the passenger received medical care when the plane landed.
A spokesman added the flight was due to take off again yesterday.
The spokesman said: “The aircraft landed normally and the customer was met by medical staff.”
