Colman: I won’t bare Ol

Olivia slaps down director as he asks her to do nude scene

- BY JAMES DESBOROUGH

ACTRESS Olivia Colman was asked to bare all for hit movie The Favourite but told the director: No wahey! The Broadchurch star piled on almost three stone to play stout Queen Anne in the 18th century comedy drama – but drew the line at going naked. Olivia, 44, was asked to go LIV-ID Olivia kept her clothes on nude for lesbian romps with co-star Emma Stone, 30.

Mum-of-two Olivia, who played DS Miller in ITV crime drama Broadchurch, said: “There wasn’t actual nudity. He (the director) asked and I said I abso- lutely won’t. There is no way. I think he said it would be great if everybody was able to. And I said, ‘No’. And he replied, ‘Right’.”

Olivia, who plays Queen Elizabeth in Netflix drama The Crown, has unpleasant memories of baring all in the low-budget film Confetti in 2006.

She described it as the worst experience of her life and claims she was betrayed by film-makers.

The Favourite is up for five Golden Globes, including best actress for Olivia. Co-star Emma had no such concerns about peeling off and admitted: “As we were shooting it, I said: ‘Can I please just be naked’?”
