Eat in worse than take out

Meals in restaurants are worse than those in fast food-chains, research suggests.

The number of calories in sit-down meals averaged 1,033 in restaurants, and 751 in fastfood chains, according to the study published in the British Medical Journal.

Around 13,500 meals on the menu of 21 restaurants and six fast-food outlets were tested.
