GOLF Rose has hit a thorny patch

DEFENDING champion Justin Rose dropped to seven shots behind leader Poom Saksansin ahead of the final round of the Indonesian Masters.

But the Englishman will finish as world No.1 if he is 12th or better, and yesterday carded three birdies and two bogeys in a third-round 71, leaving him tied fourth on nine under.

Saksansin is three shots ahead of Swede Henrik Stenson.
