‘Reds can Kop title this year’

JORDAN HENDERSON has declared Liverpool ready to win the Premier League.

Anfield has not celebrated a title-winning team since 1990 — but Kop captain and England star Henderson believes Jurgen Klopp’s stars have never been better equipped to end that 29-year wait.

And as Liverpool prepare to face Manchester United today Henderson said: “I feel we’re ready to win the Premier League.

“We definitely have the potential to win trophies. But it’s up to us to go and do it on the pitch.

“I have every confidence with the talent that we’ve got and the people in the dressing room that we can go and produce trophies in the very near future and hopefully it’s this season.

“I’ve always had good people around me and I still have. I couldn’t ask for a better group of lads in terms of our dressing room.

“It’s an amazing group who hopefully can produce something special this season.

But Henderson has warned his team-mates not to underestimate Manchester United.

He said: “I can’t remember the last time we beat them in the league, so that shows how tough a game it is and how good United really are in these games.”
