Police charge ‘yellow vests’

FRENCH riot police charge “yellow vest” protesters in another day of violence and conflict with police near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris yesterday.

Tens of thousands of officers are on duty again as demonstrations continue across the country against president Emmanuel Macron’s economic reforms.

Yesterday was the ninth consecutive protest and leaders maintain they are against violence.

In Paris more than 50 people were arrested.
