Death plunge from ski lift

A BRITISH man died after suffering a suspected heart attack and falling 10 metres from a ski chairlift.

Jeff Martin, 65, was with a pal on Friday when he had a seizure in France. It is not known if a safety bar was locked down.

A spokesman for mountain rescue at the Meribel resort said: “The friend thought the victim was joking around but he was suffering a heart attack.”

The Cornwall man was on holiday with family.
