Grenades & guns in Brit car on Costa

A WEAPONS stash including two submachine guns and two grenades was found in a stolen UK car in Spain’s Costa del Sol.

Police had kept an eye on the VW Golf after it was flagged by UK authorities as stolen to see if anyone tried to use it.

When the stakeout in Benahavis near Marbella came to nothing the car was towed and searched in a police pound.

Inside the boot was a rucksack containing two submachine guns with four boxes of ammunition, two hand grenades and two detonators.

And in the glove compartment there was a loaded pistol.
