They say jump..

...we say boiler suits are on a real high

- with DEMELZA DE BURCA

MOVE over 70s jumpsuits – the industrial boiler suits is the overall winner. What started off as a microtrend last season has exploded with designers featuring the practical all-in-one garment in their new season collections.

At the SS19 shows the creative directors of Jil Sander, Luke and Lucie Meier paraded models in lightweight cotton zip-up styles, and Armani presented hers-and-his suits in navy denim.

Walking the runway of Stella Mccartney at Paris Fashion Week, Kaia Gerber wore a tie-dye denim boiler suit from the Spring 2019 collection – before mixing it up and wearing it off the catwalk in a much more casual fashion. She styled it with a bomber, trainers and oversized shades for a stroll between shows. The trend has trickled down the high street and there’s already plenty of great options available.

We love Topshop’s take on the trend which proves the look can be glamorous when paired with heels while & Other Stories’ denim boiler suit is perfect weekend attire and would even work in a laid-back office.
