Waites into World final

SCOTT WAITES booked his place in today’s final of the Lakeside BDO World Darts Championships with a 6-1 defeat of Germany’s Michael Unterbuchner.

Waites, the world champion in 2013 and 2016, made sure his doubles counted as he moved into a 5-0 lead, dropping only four legs on the way.

The Yorkshireman hit double 18 for glory in the seventh set.
