Thug’s €200 fine for killing gull at station

A SICK thug who kicked a seagull to death at a rail station has been fined.

Martin Maguire, 52, was seen on CCTV stamping on the bird’s head.

He was caught after returning to Holyhead station in Anglesey, North Wales three months after the attack.

Maguire was found guilty at Caernarfon Magistrate­s Court of intentiona­lly killing a wild bird. He was fined €200 and must pay €220 costs.

British Transport Police PC Harry Thompson called it a “mindless and violent attack on an innocent animal who suffered a painful and cruel death”.
