Spring in your step
Designer at Debenhams bright ideas
HELLO sunshine! After months of dark mornings and long winter evenings we’re more than ready for spring summer ‘19.
It’s still only February but this week’s rising temperatures has perked our interests in spring dressing.
One of our go-to collections for wearable and affordable pieces every season is Designer at Debenhams.
We’re talking well-made, on-trend clothes in great prints and uplifting colours for all sizes and ages.
A favourite since its launch in 2017 has to be Preens’ collaboration with the high street giant.
Designer duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi launched Preen in 1996. Their Debenhams diffusion line “Studio by Preen” is just at a fraction of the price of their main collection
For SS19, they have created a fashion editor’s dream with endless frills, florals and asymmetric hemlines. Over the last 25 years Designers at Debenhams have created top collaborations.
Julien Macdonald and his youthful Star range have been about for almost a decade. His SS19 collection features on-trend scarf prints and structured shapes.
Award-winning designer Richard Quinn is the most recent addition to the lineup. Following last year’s colab which attracted celeb fans, he returns with softer shapes while keeping to his trademark floral prints.
Other highlights this season include dresses from MW by Matthew Williamson and No.1 Jenny Packham.
