How I coped with..
kidney disease
In 2010, I was suffering with flu-like symptoms and a rash around my joints.
Doctors diagnosed a type of kidney disease called IGA nephropathy.
I had to take blood pressure pills but my condition was under control until I started to get tired and suffer from migraines.
I tried changing my diet and doing exercise to give me more energy, along with some alternative treatments. But, ultimately, nothing I did could stop my kidney failure, which happened six months later in February 2016.
I was on dialysis until I underwent a kidney transplant in November, nine months later.
I felt an immediate boost of energy the day after surgery and after three months, felt back to normal. And I’m fully back to work at an insurance company and travel all over the world with my family. Elliott Goss, 37, London
