Much-loved adopted pet happy to go with the Flo

-

THE Irish Sunday Mirror can report one story with a happy ending arising from the Myshall horror – the tale of adopted puppy Flo.

When she first arrived at her new home, owner Angela expected to have to do a lot of training with her.

But it turned out this sweet little Papillion cross breed was already toilet trained and responded well to being called.

Angela said: “Over the next six months I would make new discoveries about Flo.

“She already loved to play ball, so much so she jumps about 2ft off the ground to get you to throw it. She could also already sit and lie down on command.”

AFFECTIONATE

As Flo came from a large-scale puppy farm, there was no information about her health history.

However, the ISPCA told Angela Flo’s vet health checks had gone well.

Now she is an adored member of the family and Angela said she has no trouble finding people to mind her.

Flo’s easy-going and affectionate personality has come to light in spite of her dark past.

She goes to work with her owner most days and attends a local doggy day care twice a week because she doesn’t like being left alone and needs exercise.

Angela said: “She has enhanced my life greatly.

“I just want to say thanks a million to the ISPCA and to acknowledge the great work the staff do there to save so many animals from hardship and to ensure they all get their happy ending forever homes.”

The ISPCA has nine inspectors covering 17 counties and relies heavily on funding. More information is available at www.ispca.ie.
