Police mug shot of singer SINGER R Kelly stared dejectedly at the floor in court yesterday as a series of “disturbing” sex assault charges on four women – including three teenage girls – was read out.

The RNB star, 52 – whose bail was set at $1million – is said to have had sex with an underage autograph hunter he met outside court during his 2008 trial for having child porn.

He had sex with another girl he met in a restaurant as she celebrated her 16th birthday, the court heard.

He is also said to have made a 42-minute sex video with a girl of 14.

And he ordered his hairdresser, 24, to give him oral sex – then spat in her face when she refused, it was said.

One alleged victim was in court to hear the 38-page indictment read.

When the I Believe I Can Fly star was told to hand over his passport his attorney Steve Greenberg joked: “Contrary to the song, Mr Kelly doesn’t like to fly.” He told the Chicago court the star’s finances are a “mess” after his label dropped him.

Judge John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr called the case “disturbing.”

It also emerged US Homeland Security are looking into Kelly over sex trafficking allegations. Beverley Singer R Kelly performing “Oh gosh, I’ve encountered some crazy incidents in my time,” said the actress, who has played glamorous Liz Mcdonald for 30 years. “A few years ago, I was getting out of my car and I saw this glinting in the sunshine. I turned and a man was wielding a great big pair of scissors. He was trying to get a lock of my hair.

“I was pretty shocked but could see he meant no harm.

“He just wanted a piece of Liz. It goes with the job.”

As Corrie enters its 60th year next year, Beverley, 61, said: “I love that I’m in my 60s and Coronation Street will be in its 60s as well. The cast don’t know what the plan is for the anniversary. I do know that Liz will be at the forefront of it – and I can’t wait.”

Beverley has been open in the past about her battle with depression, which led her to contemplate suicide. But she said: “I’m really good at the moment. I’m still on medication

Police take singer into custody in Chicago the night before court hearing and I think I’ll have to take it for the rest of my life, but I feel great.”

And she is about to take on a new role – as a feisty former pop star in upcoming play The Thunder Girls.

She said: “I love Coronation Street and I don’t have to leave to go back on stage. I have the best of both worlds.”
