Rehab boss Kerins is set to reveal all in memoirs
Angela Kerins FORMER Rehab boss Angela Kerins is planning to publish a tell-all book.
The Supreme Court ruled last week she may have been treated unfairly when questioned by the Dail Public Accounts Committee in 2014 about her €240,000 annual salary.
Seven of the country’s senior judges ruled PAC acted outside its remit.
The ruling means the court may find the committee’s questioning of Mrs Kerins was unlawful.
Mrs Kerins claimed she was left traumatised by her dealings with PAC and later attempted suicide.
A close source said: “She will honestly reflect in her upcoming memoir about this terribly dark period that drove her to such despair.
“There was a huge wave of negative publicity surrounding the PAC Hearing.
“But it wasn’t only PAC that drove her overboard – there was also a huge amount of hate mail, death threats and media hostility.
“She was very vulnerable and convinced the only way to end this nightmare was by taking her own life.”
In a 2015 High Court affidavit it was revealed Mrs Kerins had attempted to take her own life because she had become “irrationally convinced that the solution was to sacrifice myself ”.
It is understood Mrs Kerins will now seek damages from PAC.
