Marine held over Korean embassy raid
US officials have arrested a former Marine who is allegedly part of a group that raided North Korea’s embassy in Madrid.
Christopher Ahn appeared in a Los Angeles federal court yesterday.
It would be the first arrest over the incident, which happened in February days before President Donald Trump met Kim Jong-un in Vietnam.
Free Joseon, a self-styled human rights group, says it was involved.
North Korea has described the incident on February 22 – where some staff were held hostage by up to 10 people – as a “grave terrorist attack”.
