Fans honour the memory of Victoria
MICHAEL Ball was among celebrities and fans paying tribute to Victoria Wood on the third anniversary of her death yesterday.
Alongside a picture of himself with the comedian, the singer tweeted: “3 years ago we lost a unique comic genius and the most wonderful friend. Thinking of you today darling Vic. I miss you xxx.”
Choreographer Stephen Mear also tweeted about Victoria, who died from cancer aged 62, posting: “I lost a very close friend and the nation lost a comedy Genius. Miss you Vic x.”
One fan tweeted that they “might watch Acorn Antiques all day”.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that a statue of the star will be unveiled in her home town of Bury in mid-may.
