Primary kids’ free tampons

UK primary school pupils will soon get free sanitary products to end “period poverty”.

Last month the government announced towels and tampons for secondary schools and colleges after claims some girls were missing classes because they could not afford them.

The scheme is expected to be extended to primaries in 2020.
