Fella and filler ditched to clean up image
CELEBRITY X Factor’s Megan Mckenna has ditched her ex-con boyfriend as she tries to clean up her image.
The reality star, a favourite to win the ITV show, has split from Zack Gilbert just as her music career looks like taking off.
In 2013 Gilbert, 27, got five years in a young offenders institution for GBH after attacking a man in an East London bar.
Sources say Megan has dumped both her fella and her lip fillers in her bid for a squeaky clean transformation. The former TOWIE and Ex on the Beach blonde has also toned down her heavy make-up and big hair.
A source said: “As part of the new her, she got rid of Zack about the same time as getting rid of her fillers.
“Megan really wants to make the most of all the opportunities X Factor: Celebrity will bring her way – and having a convict boyfriend is not a good look.”
This week the 27-year-old singer said she is a new woman.
“I have stripped back with loads of things, my hair, my make-up, my lips, right down to my clothes,” she revealed. “I feel less is more. My lifestyle has completely changed too. I’m taking

She hopes to shake off her old nickname ‘Mental Megs’, earned after furious outbursts on Celebrity Big Brother and MTV’S Ex on the Beach,
Megan says she no longer resembles that person.
Plagued by the effects of childhood bullying, anxiety and body dysmorphia, she believes she has turned her life around.

She reduced X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger to tears with a heart-rending performance last month. “I know people see me as Mental Megs – if I’d watched me I’d think, ‘Oh God I don’t like her’,” she said. “But the truth is I was just a broken, upset young girl and I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into.” Megan began dating Gilbert after a failed romance with tragic Love Island star Mike Thalassitis, whose March suicide sparked a debate about the pressures on reality show hopefuls.
