Richard as a drag queen
He’s one of Hollywood’s most famous luvvies but has told how playing a drag queen in his latest movie is “terrifying”. The Oscar-winning actor, who takes on the role of Loco Chanelle in the big-screen adaptation of stage musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, reveals he had “a hard time” in heels. Richard, 62, says: “I was hobbling around like a 95-year-old.” he seems to have a lot of admirers, and Summer has been telling friends about what a great guy he is. “They’ve seen each other a few times and really hit it off.” Last weekend, Jack posted a picture on Instagram of him cradling newborn daughter Blossom. The former pen salesman had briefly dated Casey Ranger, the mother of his child, shortly after he split last year from Dani Dyer, 24, who he won Love Island with in 2018. He says: “Myself and Casey got together when we were both single. It was a whirlwind romance and shortly after, had the amazing news that she was expecting, which we were both over the moon about. It didn’t work out romantically, but we are great friends.” Summer dumped baker Paul, 53, last August after he asked her to sign a gagging order about their relationship. This week I got to sit down with Wacaday host Timmy Mallett, 64. The TV presenter has written memoir Utterly Brilliant about his showbiz escapades – and about a 2,500-mile bike trip to Spain’s Santiago de Compostela in memory of his brother Martin, who died in 2018. He tells me that the important things in life are “a comfy bed, a nice meal, a pleasant word along the way and random acts of kindness – it’s about being in the moment.” And, of course, a jar of Timmy’s own marmalade...
