Fall in love with again...

glamping, campervan and camping park on the foot of Brandon Hill. I went last summer with my sisters and their families and it was definitely the highlight of the summer.

The five-star Lyrath Estate is a wonderful retreat for couples to unwind.

City centre hotels like The Club House, The Kilkenny Ormonde, The Hibernian, Kilkenny Rivercourt, Springhill and The Newpark Hotel always have great offers.

There’s also nothing like the fivestar Mount Juliet Estate, one of Ireland’s leading country estates. Where to eat?

To pick one is like being asked which is your favourite child but a few of my must-eat hotspots are Anocht in The Kilkenny Design Centre or Champagne

for dinner, Rive Gauche and Zuni are two of my favourites for lunch.

A great way to spend an hour or two is to grab a window seat in The Gourmet Store where you will savour some of the best food from the region.

For many years all of our family occasions would have been celebrated in the world-renowned Langton’s of Kilkenny. In Graignamanagh, I have to mention The Duiske Inn where I cut my teeth in the kitchen. Best pubs?

Again there are so many to choose from, a few of my favourites are Mick Doyle’s Bar, O’driscoll’s Bar & Beer Garden. In Kilkenny, there is The Dylan, Ryan’s of Friary Street, Paris Texas Bar & Restaurant, Cleere’s of Parliament Street and O’shea’s in Graignamanagh. Favourite childhood holiday memory?

We always had really nice simple holidays visiting family members like my cousins Mary in Wicklow or Maureen in Celbridge for a few days.

Then on to the caravan parks of Tramore with its long sandy beach .
