The vibrant city of Manchester is putting on the Ritz with its Internatio­nal Festival.

Until July 18, the city’s public spaces will be alive with performanc­es of every sort. There’s loads of music including Blur’s Damon Albarn, art installati­ons and a replica of Big Ben. The hub at Festival Square in Cathedral gardens will host DJS. Most of the programme is free. mif.co.uk

Lincoln is famous for its Cathedral Imp stone carving– and you can spot 30 sculptures of it from now until September along the Lincoln Imp Trail.
