GREAT British Bake Off’s Noel Fielding has a tasty €2.4million in the bank following his success on the hit show.

Accounts reveal the 48-year-old comic’s fortunes have been transformed since he joined the Channel 4 series in 2017.

Noel’s company, Fantasy Man Ltd, had a balance of €2.24million according to accounts filed last April – up more than €480,000 on the previous year.

The star is one of three directors of the firm, which handles earnings from his TV career.

His partner of 12 years, radio presenter Lliana Bird, is also a director. Noel, who shot to fame in the 2000s in surreal comedy The Mighty Boosh, was believed to be worth just over €240,000 before he joined Bake Off after it moved from the BBC.

He proved to be an instant hit with viewers alongside then new host Sandi Toksvig. He now hosts the programme alongside funnyman Matt Lucas. In the time Noel has been on the show, fans have warmed to his eccentric fashion choices and the way he uses humour to cheer up stressedout bakers. Noel also runs the TV production company Secret Peter Ltd, which – according to April’s accounts – had around €80,000 in the bank before deductions.

The quirky star has previously admitted that he “never really thought about money that much or career steps or anything like that”. His GBBO colleagues are also showstoppers when it comes to earnings.

Judge Paul Hollywood, 55, is sitting on a €10.8million fortune while Prue Leith, 81, has a reported fortune of €100million, thanks to decades of top level catering industry success.

Noel’s current Bake Off co-host Matt Lucas, 47, is believed to be worth around €9.2million.
