Loyal pal Kanye urges Adele fans to go easy

He begs them to respect creative passion on axed shows

You have to be confident you’re giving the fans the best you can

It’s been a dramatic week for superstar Adele after she tearfully cancelled her Las Vegas residency.

Despite the singer blaming Covid for the move, fans were left outraged – and out of pocket.

Rumours also swirled about Adele’s diva antics after the star apparently threw a hissy fit over a swimming pool stunt that she moaned would be like singing in a “baggy old pond”.

While I love her ridiculous outbursts, others don’t. Piers Morgan branded Adele a “prima donna” for canning the gigs, but her pal Kanye West reckons we should go easy on her.

In an exclusive interview, he says: “There are very few artists left in the world who have genuine passion about their own creativity, what they put out and how they choose to perform.

“Adele is one of the true creative storytellers we have left. I am in awe of the work she does.

“If she wasn’t comfortable with the direction of the show in Vegas then she should be respected for not being just another manufactured act.” And Kanye knows a thing or two about wild diva antics.

He once allegedly refused to push his own elevator buttons, and is said to have requested his staff did not speak in his presence.

Stepping up his defence of Adele, Kanye adds: “No artist wants to disappoint their fans, but you have to be confident you are giving the fans the best you can.

“People need to go easy on her. The same people who put abuse online are usually the same people who have #Bekind on their social media.”

Since pulling out of her £500k-a-night gigs at Caesars Palace, Adele has been holed up with her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul at his £10m Beverly Hills mansion.

While fans hope she will reschedule her Vegas residency, some reports claim it may not happen at all now.

Let’s hope Adele sorts herself out in time to perform at London’s BST Hyde Park in July.

For those of you wondering what happened to Michael Hutchence and Paula Yates’ daughter Tiger Lily, I can reveal she is loving life – and has stripped off for a new music video.

The 25-year-old filmed the dreamy scenes for Shan’s Drum in Australia’s Noongar Boodja and Baiyungu country.

Referencing ongoing injustice to Aboriginal people by the Australian government, she says: “We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we live and pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging.

“It always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.”

Tiger Lily’s stepdad Bob Geldof must be proud, even if she is running around like a naked loon…
