Ince furious after Royals rumbled

ANGRY Paul Ince claimed his Reading side were “bullied” by Rotherham.

The former Manchester United star was left fuming after his side’s first half no show. “We got bullied. I said to the lads that they need to wake up,” said Ince.

“I told them that they can’t perform like that in the first half.

“The most disappointing thing for me is conceding early goals and people not stopping crosses.

“If people don’t want to stop crosses it doesn’t matter what preparation you do Monday to Friday.”

Millers chief Paul Warne admitted his side’s defending had pleased them more than their attacking masterclass.

“The saves, the headers and the general defending was excellent,” said Warne.

“I thought we deserved to win, maybe not by four but we deserved the win.

“The lads have to believe and dream big and why not?

“It was a good day at the office.”

Millers captain Richard Wood beat his man to head home Ben Wiles’ cross seven minutes in.

It got even better for rampant United when Conor Washington rifled in an unstoppable shot at the near post.

Joe Lumley was left embarrassed after fluffing a routine shot from Jamie Lindsay.

Chiedozie Ogbene made it four after beating the hapless Lumley to a long ball over the top before firing into the empty net.

Mamadou Loum was off target with an 18-yard freekick as the Royals enjoyed a good start to the half.

The Yorkshire outfit were denied a fifth after Tom Mcintrye brilliantly charged down Ollie Rathbone’s 70th minute strike.
