Bowler’s Bloomin’ brilliant as Tangerines ace signs off

-

JOSH BOWLER looks to have signed off from Bloomfield Road with a cracking goal in this seesaw, six goal thriller.

The Seasiders’ wonder winger opened the scoring with a sensational strike, with Nottingham Forest seeming to be ready to up their £2.5million bid for the wonder winger.

In just the seventh minute, Bowler made his mark, when Gary Madine sheltered a cross to allow him to rifle home a trademark left-foot blast.

With Blackpool announcing they have brought in winger Ian Poveda on loan from Leeds, the scene is now set for Bowler’s move.

But Blackpool boss

Michael Appleton said: “I’d be delighted if we still had Josh come September 1.

“I’ve talked to him and told him to be ready for our match against Blackburn on Wednesday.

“We’ve just brought in Ian Poveda, who is similar to Josh so we’re covering all bases.”

Tommy Conway hit his third goal for the Robins in less than a fortnight.

Jerry Yates restored Blackpool’s lead from close range only for Antoine Semenyo to level again just seconds after coming on as a substitute.

A Nahki Wells header hit the bar and bounced in off Blackpool defender Marvin Ekpiteta to put Bristol City ahead but Blackpool’s new signing Theo Corbeanu camed off the bench to grab a last-gasp equaliser.
