RAW DEAL FOR UNDERHILL BUT BONUS FOR TIGERS

- Premiership Round-up

ENGLAND flanker Sam Underhill will miss the autumn internationals after shoulder surgery, his club Bath have revealed.

It is another savage blow for the 26-year-old (right) who is expected to be out for three months, after already having his year wrecked by injury.

He returned to England colours after concussion for the final game of the Six Nations against France in March.

And he only managed one appearance on the summer tour to Australia before being sent home after the second Test following another head knock. Wing Nemani Nadolo, with two, and Chris Ashton were among the scorers for champions LEICESTER as they got a bonus-point 36-21 win over NEWCASTLE at Welford Road. New signing Handre Pollard watched his new club from the stands and the Springbok is expected to be out until December with a knee injury. At the Stoop

SARACENS opened their campaign by coming from 17-0 down to beat HARLEQUINS 30-27, with Elliot Daly’s 65th-minute penalty proving the difference between the two sides.

Max Malins scored two tries in the bounce-back, with Daly scoring another, while centre Nick Tompkins got on the scoresheet in his 100th appearance for Sarries.

NORTHAMPTON shrugged off the pre-match loss of Wales fly-half Dan Biggar through illness, to beat LONDON IRISH 38-22.

Irish full-back rising star Henry Arundell was yellow-carded just before half-time as Exiles failed to build on last week’s thrashing of Worcester.

James Grayson and George Furbank stepped into Biggar’s kicking boots with 18 points between them, and Furbank’s 71st-minute score gave Saints a try bonus point.

BRISTOL made it two out of two in the league with a 23-8 win over WASPS in Coventry.

Wasps led early thanks to a try from hooker Tom Cruse but 10 points from fly-half Callum Sheedy in 11 minutes, including a try, put the Bears in the driving seat – the Welshman finished with 18 points all told.
